Kasim Reed Officially Wins Atlanta Mayoral Race

After an extremely close runoff on December 1 followed by a recount early this week, Reed can finally, officially, say he will be the next mayor of Atlanta. He took the election by a mere 714 votes.

According to the AJC, Norwood conceded at 2:30 p.m. this afternoon.

Georgia Tech to Face Iowa in the Orange Bowl

Hometown team Georgia Tech will take on Iowa in the Orange Bowl this January. Saturday night's win for Tech marks the first ACC Championship for the school since 1990. Get the scoop on all the Orange Bowl activities as the Jackets head to Miami.

In other local bowl game news, this year's Chick-fil-A Bowl at the Georgia Dome will feature No. 11 Virginia Tech in a match-up against Tennessee.

The Georgia Bulldogs will head to The Independence Bowl and face off against Texas A&M.

Local Art Show Features Nostalgic Arcade Favorites

Its a classic couples conundrum. Its Friday night - she wants to go enjoy a little culture, he wants to stay in and play video games. This Friday, problem solved. Local artist GutterPOP! brings you the best of both worlds with Artari, an original art show inspired by retro arcades.

The show features over 20 pieces of 80's inspired mixed media reflective of days spent in the arcade including Galaga, Frogger, Ms. Pacman and BurgerTime. Each original will be available for sale.

Wine and cheese will be served from 7 - 9 p.m., immediately followed by local bands Grand Prize Winners from Last Year and The Falcon Lords.

Breakfast with Santa at ONE Midtown Kitchen

ONE Midtown Kitchen will host breakfast with Santa on December 12. Hot cocoa will flow freely and you'll dine on delicious family style dishes including french toast. Everyone gets a turn to sit with Santa.

Adults $20, Kids $10. Be sure to make reservations.
