Chow Down This Weekend at the Miller Light Chili Cookoff

Thursday September 25, 2008

The Great Miller Light Chili Cookoff is this weekend at Stone Mountain Park. With over 300 teams competing, it's the premiere chili cookoff event east of Texas. Prizes will be awarded for top chilis, fan favorites and of course, showmanship. Each booth will be offering samples of either chili, cornbread, Brunswick stew or a combination of the items.

These chili teams pull out all the stops when it comes to their competition booths - with crazy scenes and elaborate costumes depicting everything from trailer parks to pirate ships! Get in on the crazy fun and compete for your own prizes with games like a jalapeno eating contest and a mullet flop.

Tickets are available at the gates for $10. Admission to Stone Mountain Park, which is required to get to the festival, is $8. Both fees are cash only, so be prepared. All proceeds from the Chili Cookoff tickets to go Camp Twin Lakes, an organization offering programs for children with disabilities and serious illnesses.
