Beijing Olympic Torch Arrives at Permanent Home in Atlanta

Wednesday October 15, 2008

Today at 10 a.m. the 2008 Beijing Olympic Torch will be placed in its new home at The World of Coca-Cola. Sergey Bubka, a member of the International Olympic Committee, pole vaulting Olympic gold medalist, six-time world champion and current world record holder in pole vaulting, will be on hand to help commemorate the installation.

The torch will become a part of the World of Coca-Cola's Milestone exhibit, honoring the Company's 80-year support of the Olympic Games. The Beijing torch takes its place alongside seven other torches tracing the company’s long-standing involvement in the Olympic Torch Relay.
