Make Your Resolutions Part of the Solution

Thursday January 1, 2009

Families First, the largest non-profit family service agency in Georgia, is encouraging you to think big with your New Year's resolutions this year. Instead of resolving to lose 10 pounds, why not think about doing something to benefit others across the state or even the world?

The online campaign, called I Am The Solution, simply asks that in addition to all of your other goals, you set just one goal that revolves around helping others this year. They believe that anyone can do something, no matter how big or small, to better the lives of others. The ideas vary from donating time or money to recognizing a problem you, yourself, have and reaching out for help. At the I Am The Solution website, you can submit your resolution, track your progress and connect with others who have similar goals.

The initiative has already attracted attention and support from local celebrity do-gooders like Atlanta Falcons linebacker Keith Brooking, musicians Big Boi and Collective Soul, famed educator and children's advocate Ron Clark, HGTV personality Vern Yip and Atlanta Brave Jeff Francouer.
