Peachtree Road Race Street Closures

Wednesday July 1, 2009
The AJC Peachtree Road Race is a beloved Fourth of July tradition in Atlanta. It winds through Buckhead and Midtown from Lenox Square Mall all the way to Piedmont Park. However, it also creates a traffic headache and can throw a wrench in your travel plans if you forget to plan ahead. Essentially, you'll want to avoid Peachtree as much as possible on July 4th, there will be rolling closures throughout the day. In addition, there is an area of Piedmont Rd near Ralph McGill that will actually be closed as early as July 2. The AJC has an interactive map of street closures to keep you updated.
