I was out of the city for the weekend and when I pulled up the AJC to see what I'd missed, I found myself shaking my head at what I saw. In the past few days, the top stories included a fatal shooting near Decatur, a man shot while mowing his lawn in Kirkwood and as many as 90 cars burglarized or vandalized in a Midtown condo complex.
All of these neighborhoods are within just a few miles from my home. They are diverse communities with hardworking people and families of all ages. While I don't think we should ignore what is going on around us, it is always disheartening to read so much bad news. The AJC has recently added a new crime search feature online to keep abreast of what's happening in your area.

hell no I dont feel safe when the police can-not do there job or better yet dont want to do there job .
