According to a new report by the National Association of Realtors, Atlanta real estate is having a tough time. House prices for previously-owned homes in Atlanta were among fastest to decline from the summer of 2009 to the summer of 2010. Across America, real estate prices are at a 15-year-low.
While the market gained some momentum from tax credits, those ended in April and the outlook has been grim since then. While some Atlanta neighborhoods continue to experience a slight recovery, particularly those intown, most are still struggling. For buyers this means there are still deals to be had, but for sellers it may be best to wait to list your home, if possible.
