We heard the rumors (no one can keep a secret these days!), and it turns out they are true. Atlanta is losing The Thrashers, our professional hockey team, to Canada. The announcement was made today at Winnipeg's MTS Centre, the new home of The Thrashers (or whatever they become - The Jets, a former Winnipeg team, being one rumored moniker).
This is the second Atlanta team to make the move to Canada in recent history - with The Flames jumping to Calgary in 1980.
