Here's a fun event to entertain the kiddos... a few local malls are celebrating the release of The Lorax on DVD. Town Center at Cobb (Saturday, July 28) and Mall of Georgia (Tuesday, August 7) will arts and crafts, activities, and Lorax characters. The event, along with other Simon Kidgits Club events, is designed for ages 3 - 8.
The fun times will include the following:
- Create and take home Truffula Trees, like those featured in the movie, and a take home a Lorax mustache
- Interact with costumed characters from The Lorax during a meet-and-greet session.
- Watch The Lorax movie trailer, learn how to draw the Lorax through a bonus feature on the DVD and hear about how the Lorax speaks for the trees
- Pose for a photo next to Lorax-themed standees
Since The Lorax loves the environment, kids will have the chance to participate in activities which focus on preserving the environment including the Pitch-In Recycle Game, building a Seed of Hope planter, and pledging to help the environment (complete with a certificate to commemorate their pledge!).
