Are you a big fan of the messy, meaty, delicious art of barbecue? Well, you're getting a double dose of yum this week!
The first thing to put on your radar is Atlanta's newest BBQ destination, Bone Lick BBQ, which opened their doors on Tuesday. If the name sounds familiar, it may be because they were cooking up 'cue on Monday nights at P'cheen. Now they've got their own home so you can get your pork on 7 days a week! Check them out on the Westside, where you'll find six sauces, sides like jalapeno mac and cheese, a bathtub full of beer, and old school skeeball.
Next, spend a sunny Saturday outside sampling barbecue and getting down to live tunes at Decatur's BBQ, Blues & Bluegrass Festival, happening this weekend in Oakhurst. $10 gets you an evening of live music. There will be food for sale from Black Tie BBQ and Fox Brothers, plus cold beer from New Belgium. Kids 10 and under are free. Proceeds benefit the Decatur community.
