There are some foods you just crave. For me, burgers and Mexican food top that list (sushi is also a contender!). If you agree, you're in for quite a treat this weekend because there are two yum-tastic events happening.
Saturday
Battle of the Burgers will take place in Virginia Highland, putting some of Atlanta's best burgers against each other in a gut-busting competition. Tickets are $25 and include unlimited burger tasting. If you need to feel a little less guilty about your indulgence, join in the pre-battle 5K (hurry, registration closes today!). Proceeds benefit Embraced, helping to provide medical equipment to those in need.
Sunday
The Hatch Chili Festival returns to Taqueria del Sol's Howell Mill location. This outdoor block party celebrates the very special once a year shipment of Hatch chilis from New Mexico. $18.25 gets you in, including all the chili-fied snacks and live music. Specialty drinks are available for purchase. There are two admission times, 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
