chili cookoffChili lovers, grab a spoon and prepare to chow down - there are few events you need to know about.

First is The Great Miller Light Chili Cook-off at Stone Mountain. This annual event is the big daddy of chili cook-offs, complete with lots of showmanship. People go all out with booth decor - and all chili is cooked on site without electricity! It's an impressive feat. Expect upwards of 300 chili booths. Arrive early, when it's gone, it's gone! Tickets are $10, plus $10 per car to enter the park. The Great Miller Light Chili Cookoff is September 29 at Stone Mountain Park.

Another favorite is the Chomp and Stomp, held each fall in Cabbagetown. This neighborhood festival has grown quite large, with more than xx chili booths from both restaurants and amatuers. There is also a full day of live bluegrass, a few art vendors, and plenty of You should plan to allow plenty of time to park (on neighborhood roads) and get to the festival right at 12:30 because chili runs out fast! Spoons are $5. The Chomp and Stomp is November 3 centered around Cabbagetown Park.
