The next opportunity to tour Ponce City Market is coming up at the end of March, and I highly recommend you check it out! I had the opportunity to tour the site a few months back, and it's definitely a once-in-a-lifetime chance to take in a piece of Atlanta history before it's transformed into something brand new.
The property was home to a Sears facility and then to some government offices. The massive space is being converted into a mixed-use property with a food hall, offices, apartments, and more. While the new space will remain many of the historic elements (either re-purposed or in their original format), seeing the property today will give you a peek in to Atlanta's past.
Your next opportunity to tour the market is March 27 at 6 p.m. Register online to participate, a $5 donation is required. Attendees must wear closed toed shoes - no heels - and a hard hat, which will be provided by Ponce City Market. Meet in the marketing center next door to Dancing Goats Coffee Bar 15 minutes prior to tour time.
