Georgia Tax Free Holiday 2013

School SuppliesCan you believe it's already time to start gearing up for back to school? Well, good news, Georgia is hosting a Tax Free holiday to help you get all of your school shopping done at a slight discount.

August 9 - 10, 2013 is tax holiday time in Georgia. The tax holiday covers the following items:

  • Clothing with a price of $100 or less per item (excludes clothing accessories such as jewelry, handbags, umbrellas, eyewear, watches, and watchbands).
  • Computers and computer accessories with a sales price of $1,000 or less (excludes cellular devices, furniture,
    and computer-related accessories designed for recreational use)
  • School supplies at a price of $20 or less per item

While the official State of Georgia FAQ did not include information about online shopping, in 2012 online purchases were also exempt so I believe that will apply this year, too.
