Joy Johnston's Atlanta BlogGeorgia Has Lowest SAT Scores AgainWell, technically, it is our nation's capital, Washington D.C., that had the lowest SAT scores, but Georgia was dead last as far as states are concerned. It would be embarrasing enough to earn this ranking once, but Georgia has managed to pull the poorest SAT score rank twice in back to back years. Georgia's 2002-2003 SAT average score was 984: the national average was 1026.
