Refer to website for more details and a participating location near you. YMCA Day Camps in Metro Atlanta: Make summer special while exploring the outdoors, learning new skills and making new friends! All in a safe, fun environment. There are 21 YMCA day camps in and around the Atlanta area, including theme camps, Classics Day Camps, Speciality Camps and adventure and Teen Camps. Scholarship funding available at most locations. Refer to your local YMCA chapter for specific program offerings. Camp Cherokee: Cherokee Retreat Center's summer camping program: A summer camp program on the shores of Lake Alatoona owned by the Presbyterian Church USA. They have resident sessions for children entering 1st-12th grades. Typical activities common to all resident camp sessions include: arts an crafts, field games, canoeing/kayaking on Lake Allatoona, hiking, pavilion games, campfires, singing, swimming in the new pool, archery, and Christian fellowship. iD Tech Camps- Hands: During this weeklong, day and overnight program, ages 7-17 build robots, create video games, design websites with Flash(R), film digital movies, code in C++ or Java and more. Programs are located at over 50 prestigious universities in 23 states, including Emory University. Special Teen programs include: iD Gaming Academy iD Film Academy and a Study Abroad program in Spain. Save with code WDAB when registering. iD Gaming Academy: Teens immerse for 2 weeks in the dynamic world of gaming development and professional gaming. Choose among Game Modeling with Maya(R), Game Programming and Camp Fatal1ty. Students can expect late-night NVIDIA(R)-hosted gaming tournaments and LAN parties. A major game development studio tour will anchor each session as students learn first-hand how industry professionals create premier commercial games. University locations: Emory, UCLA, Emory and Villanova. Save when registering with code WDAB. Atlanta Junior Rowing Association Summer Camp: Ages 12-18, co-ed camp. Camps last 2 weeks, and teach campers the fundamentals of sweep rowing. Morning and evening sessions available. Refer to website for camp registration fees and online registration forms. Story Tellers of the American Frontier Super Summer Field Trips: Campers enjoy a day on the ranch and will be delighted by the stories of expert storyteller and native Atlantan Calvin G. Sims. In addition to storytelling, campers will enjoy pony rides, a petting zoo, campfire cuisine and games. Crafts and camping are optional. Refer to their website for complete pricing details. Imagym Fit Play Camps: Imagym Kids Play and Fitness offers daily and weekly camp sessions full of fun active play, gymnastics, sport skills, yoga, themed games and activities, health and nutrition projects, creative arts and crafts and much more. Camp Sunshine: Founded in 1982, Camp Sunshine has spent the last quarter-century providing a haven of fun and friendship for thousands of children and their families. Camp Sunshine welcomes more than 375 campers and 200 volunteers who participate in one of two weeks of summer camp. While medical professionals are on hand at all times to administer medications and take care of other medical necessities, Camp Sunshine focuses on providing a sense of normalcy and much-needed fun for the campers.
