Hands-On History at the Atlanta History Center: This summer, explore the past and the world around you with exciting, enriching activities at the Atlanta History Center. Each week has a new theme. June 2-6 is Kids of Courage: Children Who Changed History, June 9-13 is Flights of the Phoenix: Atlanta Through Time, June 16-20 is Fighting for Freedom: The Battles that Made America, June 16– 20 is Curator Camp: Making a Museum (Just for Middle School Campers), June 23 – 27 is In Their Shoes: Famous Americans, July 7–11 is Log Cabins and Long Houses: Lives of Georgia Pioneers and Indians, July 14–18 is Designs of the Times: Architecture and Beyond, July 21–25 is From Greece to the Great Wall: The Olympics Then and Now. Fees: $200 per week for Atlanta History Center members; $250 per week for non-members. Refer to website for complete camp information.

Serenbe Stables Equestrian Summer Camp: Serenbe Stables is offering 3 one-week day camps June 2-6, July 21-25 and August 11-15 from 8:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. with aftercare available. Beginner to intermediate students ages 6-12 will enjoy riding everyday, grooming and tack lessons, barn and farm lessons, equestrian art, farrier demonstration, as well as their special "Exploring Serenbe" time with: hayrides, petting zoo, organic farm, organic markets and bike ride through Serenbe town and trails. All activities, lunch, drinks, snacks and t-shirt are included. Multiple week discounts available. $550 per week - 2+ weeks $500 per week. Only 16 spaces available per week.

Aurora Academy and Conservatory: Camp Aurora for rising first-fifth graders: June 2 – 6, 2008, Monday through Friday and June 9 – 13, 2008 Monday through Friday. Aurora Academy Summer Intensive for Middle and High School Students: June 16 - 27, 2008, Monday through Friday and July 14 – 25, 2008, Monday through Friday. Broadway’s Best- CYT Atlanta 2008 Summer Camp: Christian Youth Theatre offers traditional day camps for ages 6-11 and new advanced camps for ages 10-14. Cost: $215 for first camper; $195 for siblings. A teen camp for ages 13-18 will also be offered for $450. All of the camps offer children hands-on experience in a theatre production.

Grant Park Cooperative Preschool Summer Camps: A Reggio Emilia inspired practice, the school is hosting summer camp for children ages two through nine. Each session focuses on a specific theme, such as Sports, Clay, Multimedia Art and Spanish and provides a nurturing and rich environment for exploration and fun. Registration begins March 31st. City of Johns Creek Summer Day Camp Program: Takes place at Findley Oaks Elementary School. $200 per camper per week. Open to City of Johns Creek residents only. The camp will feature games, arts and crafts, field trips and more. Refer to website for summer camp dates and registration form.

Sensational Summer Camp: Held at Maranatha Christian Academy in Oakwood, Georgia. Each week the children learn academics during Super Scholar time with the use of Vacation Station age-appropriate workbooks. There is a theme each week which also includes a field trip.
