Once you catch your breath after walking up the wooden stairs of the 63 foot high Mound A, you are in store for an expansive view of the area, refreshingly untouched land for the most part. There's a feeling of serenity that envelops one, the lack of noise is almost a shock to the system, especially if you are a city dweller in Atlanta. Mound A is approximately the height of a six story building, according to the visitor's guide. Mound A is considered to be a temple mound.
