Etowah Mounds on the Web • Etowah Indian Mounds State Historical Site

The one standing mound that has been completely excavated, Mound C was the burial mound for the Etowah Indian culture. Archaeologists were able to study roughly 350 burials from the remains of this mound and most of what is known about the mounds and this culture is from the artifacts that Mound C held.
