How To Save Money on Your Visit to Imagine It! Children's Museum in Atlanta

Discounts, Coupons, and Other Ways Save Money at Imagine It!

From

Imagine It!, Atlanta's children's museum, is a great place to take little children to play and learn. Located in downtown Atlanta near Centennial Park, the Georgia Aquarium, and the World of Coke, Imagine It! fosters learning and imagination for kids up to age eight in a safe and stimulating setting. Splash in the water table (raincoats are thoughtfully provided!), sculpt a Moon Sand masterpiece, and guide balls through a giant system of machines.  Special exhibits and the Imaginators (museum guides and performers) will make each visit memorable.

It's a wonderful place to go, but is it affordable? A family of four will likely pay $50 for admission and $10 for parking. Imagine It! discounts and coupons can be tough to find. Here are some ways to save money on your trip to Imagine It!

1. Visit Imagine It! on Target Second Tuesdays.

On the second Tuesday of each month, admission to Imagine It! is free from 1:00-7:00 p.m. This program is sponsored by Target. Second Tuesdays is very popular, so you may have to wait in line for admission. It's best to go in the late afternoon than right at 1:00 when the free admission begins.

2. Sign up for the e-newsletter.

When you sign up to get emails from Imagine It!, you'll receive information about exhibits and events, but you'll also get notifications of upcoming discounts, such as free admission Halloween weekend and free admission for mothers on Mother's Day and fathers on Father's Day.

3. Buy a CityPass.

You only have nine days to use this pass from the first attraction you visit, but if you are planning a staycation for spring break or summer, consider a CityPass. $69 for adults and $49 for kids will get you into five of the following venues: Georgia Aquarium,World of Coca-ColaImagine It!, the CNN Studio,Fernbank Natural History Museumthe Atlanta History CenterZoo Atlanta, and the High Museum. It's a huge savings over purchasing tickets separately.

4. Buy a membership.

Purchasing a museum membership is a great way to save money and support local cultural institutions. Imagine It! charges $125 for a family membership, so if you would go at least three times in one year, it's worth getting. Benefits include reciprocal membership with over 160 children's museum's nationwide, birthday party discounts, and a partial tax deduction of your membership payment.

5. Buy a membership at INK- Interactive Neighborhood for Kids.

For $99, buy a family membership to INK in Gainesville. The membership there is reciprocal with Imagine It!, so you get two Atlanta-area children's museum privileges for the price of one.

6. Bring food to Imagine It!

There aren't a lot of restaurants around the museum. Although Imagine It! has vending machines and a limited-service Chick-fil-A, you are welcome to pack a lunch and snacks to bring with you.
