The tagline for Spiral Entertainment's annual Oysterfest event is "Get shucked up," and that alone should give you an idea of what's in store! This is an all-out fun fest with live music from local bands, cold beer and oysters any way you like 'em! Spiral's Oysterfest offers raw, steamed and fried oysters. This is worth noting, because not all oyster festivals have raw oysters available. Raw oysters are flown in fresh Connecticut (Blue Point Oysters) and Prince Edward Island (Malpeque Oysters) and the huge fried and steamed oysters from straight from Texas to your mouth.
If music is your thing, you'll love the variety of bands playing both original and covers of your favorite tunes. Enjoy performances from The Issues (a local Atlanta rock band), Six Shot Revival (Southern rock), Red Zepplin (a Led Zepplin tribute group) and Talk Journey to Me (you know the night can't end without an 80s' cover band).
Good to know:
- The 2011 Oysterfest event sold out last year, so be sure to get your tickets in advance!
- Tickets are not all inclusive, fees apply for food and drink
