Earth Share of Georgia's Earth Day 2008 Leadership Breakfast: April 18th from 8-10 a.m. at TWELVE Hotel in Atlantic Station. $100/ per person. To purchase ticket call 404-873-3173.

The Girlie Show Opening Night: April 18th from 7-10 p.m. at the Atlanta Photography Center. Enjoy fine art, entertainment and refreshments.

River Room and Vinings Inn Progressive Wine Dinner: April 14th beginning at 7 p.m. The evening will begin at the River Room in north Buckhead with a champagne reception before guests board a coach to the Vinings Inn. At the Vinings Inn Executive Chef Victor Amato will prepare the first two courses. Guests will then return to River Room for the three remaining courses prepared by Executive Chef Joseph Rahme. The progressive five-course wine dinner includes transportation and is $95 per person plus tax and gratuity. Seating is limited and reservations are required. Guests may make reservations by calling the River Room at 404-233-5455. Complimentary valet parking is available at the River Room.

Flavors of Atlanta 2008: April 16th at the Georgia Freight Depot. This year’s theme will showcase a night of glitz, glamour and great food starring 29 of Atlanta’s most celebrated chefs. Highlighting their signature dishes, chefs will gather to prepare a four-course culinary feast for a table of ten guests. In addition to there will be a live and silent auction. Fox 5’s Good Day Atlanta anchor Suchita Vadlamani will be the Master of Ceremonies. Sponsorship and VIP reception are still available. All proceeds will benefit the Georgia Chapter of the American Liver Foundation. For tickets, please contact the Foundation at 404.633.9169.

eWomenNetwork Presents: Working Together Works: April 15th at 4:30 P.M. - 8:30 P.M. at the Holiday Inn, 909 Holcomb Bridge Road in Roswell. Cost: $55.00 ($45.00 eWomenNetwork Members). Late registration, beginning 04/10/2008: $65.00 each for all registrants. Display Tables: The table fee is $115.00 for a non-member and $85.00 for an eWomenNetwork Member, nonrefundable, in addition to the registration fee.

Second Annual Southeastern RV SuperShow and Outdoor Extravaganza: April 18-20 at Atlanta Motor Speedway. In addition to the camping and RV related merchandise, carnival concessions will be available and the Richard Petty Driving Experience will also be present, offering the opportunity to ride in or drive a NASCAR Sprint Cup-style stock car. A variety of boats, as well as trucks and sport utility vehicles, will be available for viewing. Adult single-day admission is $10, kids 8-18 are $5 and children under 8-years-old are free. Refer to website for times and special ticket package offers.

lucy activewear Grand Opening Event: April 17th from 6-9 p.m. at the lucy store at the Avenue East Cobb in Marietta. This event will feature live music, organic hors d'oeuvres, complimentary massages, and a special appearance by Michelle Lantow, President of lucy activewear. The store will donate 10% of the grand opening event sales to the Junior League of Cobb-Marietta.

Dine-Out for Tornado Relief: April 14th from 5 to 10 p.m. at participating Cabbagetown area restaurants. Twelve local restaurants will donate 15 percent of the proceeds earned from 5 p.m. to close (some restaurants will also donate lunch proceeds) to Cabbagetown Initiative’s disaster relief fund, which provides assistance to those who suffered from tornado damage.

Monthly Celiac Dinner at Shaun's: April 13th from 5-9 p.m. The event features a prix-fixe, gluten-free and wheat-free menu for $45 and $65 with beer pairings. The nightly changing á la carte menu will also be available. The appetizer will be Spring Asparagus with Fresh Creamed Crayfish and Tarragon. The intermezzo will feature Soft Polenta with Mascarpone, Rabbit and Fennel Pollen. The entrée will be Sautéed Loup de Mer (Seam Bream) with Chickpea Salad, Estate Olive Oil, Grapefruit and Mint. Dessert will be a Chocolate Sundae with Gluten-Free Brownies and Chocolate Popcorn. I've attended a previous Celiac Dinner at Shaun's and they are definitely worth checking out if you are on a gluten-free diet.

Night of Spectacles: April 17th from 7 to 10:30 p.m. at King Plow Arts Center. Tickets are $75 per person. Cocktail attire requested. The evening will feature dresses created from eyeglasses by SCAD students, which will be auctioned off. This is a benefit for the Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation.

Toast of the Town: April 17th at the Georgia Aquarium. This event will showcase over 60 wine and spirit companies, pouring a selection of over 500 of their premium products to the sounds of live jazz. Accompanying these will be signature dishes from 30 of Atlanta’s top restaurants. The event will feature a silent auction featuring gourmet experiences among other treasures; the proceeds will benefit the education programs of the Georgia Aquarium. The VIP Tasting is from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, tickets are priced at $185. This exclusive session offers the VIP Tasting audience a special selection of premium Reserve and Estate wines. The larger Grand Tasting will take place from 7:00 to 10:00 PM. Grand Tasting tickets are $95.
