St. Patricks Day Events in Atlanta

2014 Parties, Parades and Events

By

St. Patrick's Day is a holiday built for beer lovers. There are a number of events taking place around Atlanta in celebration of March 17. Here is a list of St. Patrick's Day events in Atlanta in 2014.

ShamROCK with Yacht Rock

March 1, 2014
Kick off March and St. Patrick's Day mayhem with Yacht Rock at Park Tavern. With the green beer flowing aplenty, Yacht Rock Schooner will put on their usual super fun show. Tickets for ages 21 and up are $15 in advance.

LEPRE*CON

Saturday, March 8, 2014
A Social Mess hosts Lepre*CON at Park Tavern. I think their description pretty much sums it up: an entire day of nonsense which will include live music, your mom, her therapist and 4,000 Irish acting Atlantans with a sweet buzz. Safe to say, this will be quite the party.

Fado Irish Pub

March 15 - 17, 2014

The famously Irish Buckhead pub will host their 18th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Party from March 15th – March 17th.

Saturday March 15th is the biggest St. Patrick’s Day party in Atlanta. Fado is closing down Buckhead Avenue and setting up stages, bars, beer gardens, food tents and more to throw the biggest St Patrick’s Day party in Atlanta. Tickets are already on sale, so grab them in advance to save some cash.

On March 17, the party continues with the classic Kegs and Eggs, plus a day of live music and celebration.

St. Patrick's Day Parade

Saturday, March 15,  2014
The city gathers for the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade, which has moved from Downtown to Midtown. The route runs down Peachtree Street from the Woodruff Arts Center to around Sixth Street. The parade is a spectacle of floats, bands, bagpipes and Irish spirit. The fun kicks off at noon.

Get Lucky Festival at Park Tavern

Saturday, March 15, 2014
Spiral Entertainment returns to Park Tavern for the annual Get Lucky Festival in Piedmont Park. Green beer, wild Atlanta 20-somethings and live music get the party going at 1 p.m. and keep it rocking until after 2 in the morning!

Live Performances by:

  • 2pm: Dirk Quinn
  • 4pm: Desire (U2 Tribute)
  • 6pm: Moby Dick
  • 8pm: Action Jackson
Tickets start at $15.

RiRa

March 15, 2014
Midtown’s Irish watering hole and Rock 100.5 will host an epic St. Patrick's Day block party. They are taking over Crescent Avenue with a party that starts at 8 a.m. (traditional Irish breakfast, anyone?).  The party kicks into full gear at 3 p.m. when the Crescent Avenue street party begins. With live bands, a DJ, Irish Dancers, the Renaissance Festival's kissing wenches and the perfect Guinness pints being poured all day, this is THE party not to be missed in Midtown. Tickets are just $10 in advance but you must be 21 or older to attend.
