By Laura Folio, About.com

St. Patricks Day may be a Tuesday, but that doesn't mean there's no party. There are a number of events taking place around Atlanta in celebration of March 17.

Lucky Day St. Pat's Festival at Park Tavern

Starting the March celebrations on March 7 at Park Tavern, Wednesday Night Drinking Club hosts Atlanta's annual Lucky Day celebration. This 21+ party is all about music, beautiful people and free-flowing green beer. Appetitie for Destruction, a Guns & Roses cover band, will rock the crowd along with various DJs and other bands. Tickets are $10 in advance and are available online.

St. Patrick's Day Parade & Underground Atlanta

On Saturday, March 14 the city will gather for the 127th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade through downtown. The route winds through the city and ends at a huge festival at Underground Atlanta. The parade is a spectacle of floats, bands, bagpipes and Irish spirit. Kicking off at noon, the route begins at Ralph McGill Boulevard and Peachtree Street and continues down Peachtree to Underground Atlanta.

The festival in Underground Atlanta will be a full-on Irish party with a vendor market, a full Irish breakfast, family activities, dancing and more. The festival is from noon - 6 p.m.

Get Lucky Festival at Park Tavern

The party continues at Park Tavern with Spiral Entertainment's Get Lucky Festival. Green beer, wild Atlanta 20-somethings and bands like Keltic Kudzu and 80's cover band Girlz, Girlz, Girlz get the party going at 1 p.m. and keep it rocking until after 2 in the morning! Tickets are $10 and the price increases as the event approaches, so round up the gang early!

Those who have to work on St. Patty's day can celebrate on Saturday, March 14 and the lucky ones who want to party on March 17 can keep it going until 4 a.m. The pub will open at 10 a.m. both days and kick things off right with an Irish breakfast, served until 2 p.m. Then, in the afternoon, there will be live entertainment from authentic Irish song and dance groups as well as contemporary artists. 426 West Ponce De Leon Ave. in Decatur.

Fado Irish Pub

Fado will start the day off early with the annual 7 a.m. Kegs and Eggs celebration. Then stumble to work and return at lunch time for the street party featuring Irish dancing, traditional Irish food & beverages, live music with U2 cover band, & more. Said to be Atlanta's biggest St. Paddy's Day party, the fun goes on until midnight! Fado is located at 273 Buckhead Ave. in Buckhead.

Limerick Junction

Limerick Junction in Virginia Highlands will party the day away indoors and out on March 17. Get there early for a $5 cover charge, the price increases to $10 once the party gets going!
