The snowstorm that shut down Atlanta from January 10-14, 2011, has left metro school districts scrambling to make up days from the school closings. Georgia law allows schools to miss up to four days, but most districts have missed six days so far. Here's a list of make-up plans by county.
Atlanta Public Schools
APS has four inclement weather days built into the calendar already, so no make-up days will be scheduled until possibly later in the year.
Cherokee County
March 17 and 18, which had been furlough days, will now be school days.
Clayton County Schools
Decisions have not been finalized.
Cobb County Schools
February 2 and March 18 will now be full school days.
DeKalb County Schools
Decisions have not been finalized.
Douglas County Schools
April 1, which had been a staff furlough day, will now be a school day.
Fayette County Schools
Fayette County Schools will be in session February 22-24, dates that were originally part of February vacation.
Fulton County Schools

Forsyth County Schools
