Looking for a fun and free activity for kids? On the first Saturday of every month, take them to Atlanta's own Home Depot - you know you need to go there anyway! Workshops are usually scheduled between 9:00-12:00 a.m. Kids ages 5-12 can make a project to take home, and you don't pay a penny!
Projects have included fire trucks, race cars, birdhouses, and frames. Your child will also go home with an orange Home Depot apron.
The sense of accomplishment that comes from succeeding at a new activity is a great way to build confidence in children. They'll enjoy the time spent with you, making something of their own.
