About Atlanta Pride Festival:

The Atlanta Pride Festival is a yearly Atlanta event that celebrates gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender relationships and promotes equality.

The festival takes place over a three-day period and is made up of a variety of events including the popular Pride Parade.

When and Where:

Atlanta Pride Festival takes place each year in Piedmont Park. The 2009 Atlanta Pride Festival and Parade is October 30 - November 1.

Things to Do:

At the 2009 Atlanta Pride Festival, attendees can enjoy the following events:

  • The Pride Parade takes place November 1 at 1 p.m. and travels up Tenth Street and down Peachtree to 14th Street.
  • In honor of Halloween, there will be a costume party on Saturday night at Greystone in the park. Tickets are $35.
  • There will be free entertainment in the park throughout the weekend, including a performance by Blake Lewis of American Idol.
  • Enjoy typical festival activities like an artists market and fun fair food.
