Rainforest Adventures invades the Center for Puppetry Arts from January 12 - March 7. The 48th annual Atlanta Boat Show returns to the Georgia World Congress Center. The Southeast’s premiere boat show will fill 300,000 square feet with hundreds of the latest boats from the region’s top dealers in addition to dozens of booths offering the newest marine electronics and accessories. From canoes and cruisers to pontoons and personal watercraft, the boat show offers something for every lifestyle, activity and budget, plus fun attractions for the entire family.

The ‘Great Gallon Give’ will be stopping in Central Park in Atlantic Station on Jan. 19 from 12:30 – 2:30pm. The event is designed to salute America’s moms and encourage them to put milk on their family’s table in 2010. Attendees of the event can receive a FREE gallon of milk, speak with a registered dietitian about their family’s needs and pose for their own milk mustache photo.

La Pietra Cucina toast 151 years of Italy’s foodie-favorite beer, Moretti, with a four-course beer dinner. A reception will begin at 6:30 p.m., and dinner will start at 7:00 p.m. The dinner costs $65.00 per person plus tax and gratuity, and is limited to 30 guests. The Great American Motorcycle Show features over three football Fields full of new foreign and domestic motorcycles including one-of-a-kind custom rides, sport bikes, custom builders, trailers, parts and apparel. Special Guests and Contests. Admission is $12 - $25. North Atlanta Trade Center.

High Museum of Art's Art Partners and Mercedes-Benz of Buckhead will host the 2nd Annual Catwalk Meets Canvas. This event will include up and coming artists exhibiting recent works as well as a fashion show presented by Saks Fifth Avenue and a fashion marketplace featuring 12 of Atlanta’s top boutiques, designers and spas.

The Atlanta National College Fair is a free event allows students and parents an opportunity to meet one-on-one with admission representatives from a wide range of national and international, two-year and four-year colleges and universities. Participants will learn about admission requirements, financial aid, campus environment and other information pertinent to the college selection process.

Learn how to make warm and hearty soups and stews at the Oakhurst Community Garden. Prepare the elegant yet inexpensive Beef Bourguignonne from Julia Child's book, Mastering the Art of French Cooking. There will be at least two additional stews and soups to taste and other recipes for to take home and make yourself. In this hands-on class, everyone will work together to prepare an easy and quick soup as well as eat dinner together. Register online.

The Nook on Piedmont Park hosts a seafood boil hoedown with buckets of fresh steamed oysters, boiled shrimp with corn and sausage, and sauteed clams in white wine garlic butter sauce. Dress like a hillbilly, cowgirl or whatever else strikes your fancy - best costumes win prizes. Party starts at noon and goes until we run out.

Sweetwater Brewery's "Better Late Than Never" Christmas party will feature sweet treats and season brews. Wear your favorite tacky sweater. 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. at the brewery.
