The annual Flying Colors Butterfly Festival will take place at the Chattahoochee Nature Center. This beautiful, family-friendly celebration will feature butterfly releases, entertainment, butterfly crafts & face painting, a butterfly costume parade, butterfly & insect scavenger hunt, exhibits, & more! $8 for members;$10 for non-members.

Chill out with jazz on the lawn at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center. This week will feature Serenata Band, considered to be the best of Latin groups in Atlanta. Luis Cordero leads a 7-piece band playing Latin jazz, Samba and other creative styles with sax, flute, congas, bongos and timbales. Guests are invited to bring lawn chairs or a blanket and a picnic and enjoy these special concerts under the stars. In case of rain, the concert will be moved to Callanwolde’s indoor Courtyard. Parking is free and on-site. Tickets are sold at the door: $15 General; $12 Students/Seniors/Members.

Star Wars fans and classical music buffs now something in common - The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra is bringing to life the music of Star Wars. Head to Verizon Wireless Amphitheater for a concert featuring Strauss’s popular Sunrise, from Also sprach Zarathustra, immortalized in the film 2001: A Space Odyssey, followed by Award-winning composer John Williams’s Star Wars Suite, and concluding with newly released vivid hi-definition NASA footage choreographed to accompany Holst’s The Planets.

The Atlantic Chapter of the Brewery Collectibles Club of America hosts a two-day show open to the public at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The show will feature everything from vintage signs to collectible beer cans to openers and advertising items. Collectors and enthusiasts from around the region will fill the infield Media Center with collectible items for sale or trade. Friday 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and Saturday 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
