What is Lakewood?

By , About.com Guide

Question: What is Lakewood?
Answer:

Often you'll hear people in Atlanta refer to Lakewood, as in "It's at Lakewood" or "It's down past Lakewood." This is referring to Lakewood Amphitheater, now called Aaron’s Amphitheatre at Lakewood and in recent years also known as HiFi Buys Amphitheater.

If they aren't talking about a concert, they may be also referring to Lakewood Antique Market, which used to be located in the Lakewood Amphitheater on weekends. The market is still in operation, however it has moved north to the Cumming area. It is now known as Lakewood 400 Antique Market, as it is located off of 400N.
