Guide Review - Luckie Food Lounge
Luckie Food Lounge occupies a sprawling space in the recently developed Luckie Street District downtown Atlanta just a few blocks from popular attractions like the Georgia Aquarium and Philips Arena.
This place is swanky and chic, having the potential to outshine most other Atlanta locations in terms of big city spirit. However, because of the huge space and location that's not convenient to where most locals live, it is rarely full enough with happening people to complete the picture.
That being said, I've been to Luckie Food Lounge on a few occasions and have never had a bad experience. It's quite an impressive atmosphere, making it the ideal place to escape on a girl's night out and also fit for impressing out of town visitors. There are plenty of large and comfortable booths, or choose to settle in at the hip sushi bar. Choose from a menu of updated American classics or their extensive sushi selection, which is quite good. The brick oven pizzas are crispy and delicious.
Luckie will never become a local favorite, but it is destination dining at it's finest and serves its purpose well. It is positioned very close to major hotels with tourist and conference traffic. The fun and fanciful atmosphere makes it a major upgrade from most dining in the downtown area and secures its spot as a perfect destination for pre-or-post-event dining at many of the surrounding attractions.
