Guide Review - The Vortex Bar & Grill
The Vortex is a great place to grab a quick lunch or dinner. It's also popular with out of town guests due to the festive decor and unconventional attitude.
The walls and ceiling are covered in amusing signs, crazy artifacts and the signature skull decor. Guests are invited to donate their strange junk to add to the restaurant's collection.
The pride and joy of The Vortex is the burger menu. Though they do offer a plain, old fashioned cheeseburger, there are also more adventurous options like The Elvis, topped with peanut butter and bananas and the famous Double Bypass Burger which is topped with a fried egg and uses two grilled cheese sandwiches as the bun. Bison burgers, turkey burgers, grilled chicken or veggie patties can be substituted for any beef option.
Other menu items include salads, chili, fried favorites like chicken fingers and a wide variety of hot and cold sandwiches.
There's also a full bar with hundreds of beers and liquors.
