Atlanta Ice Cream Shops and Frozen Desserts

By , About.com Guide

When the Atlanta weather heats up, cool down with a sweet treat from a local ice cream shop. In addition to all the usual chains, Atlanta locals are serving up some creative flavors in both ice cream and popsicle form!

Morelli's Ice Cream

A small outdoor stand in Ormewood Park, Morelli's is an ice cream favorite of many Atlanta residents. There is some outdoor seating or you can take you treats to-go. What makes Morelli's special is the creativity they serve up, with crazy flavors ranging from Maple Bacon Brittle to specials like Corona and Lime ice cream. Their treats also have the creamiest texture around, making them both rich and refreshing. In addition to ice cream, Morelli's serves other sweet treats like crepes.
