Shopping for an engagement ring or picking out jewelry for a gift can be a stressful situation. In this article you will find information about my experience at a few different Atlanta jewelry stores to help make your jewelery shopping experience a little easier. I have shopped and made purchases at all three of the Atlanta area fine jewelry stores discussed below.
Worthmore Jewelry is a a locally owned jewelry shop with two Atlanta area locations - Amsterdam Walk in Midtown and on the Square in Downtown Decatur.
Worthmore has served as our go-to jewelry shop for the past several years. We enjoy the experience of a local shop where the staff knows you and is familiar with your style. They are extremely friendly and go beyond what's required to make their customers feel appreciated, no matter the size of your purchase.
Worthmore carries a wide range of styles - from lower cost costume jewerly to high end pieces. They also carry a selection of loose diamonds, engagement rings and wedding bands. If you are looking for something specific, they can custom order styles not in stock.
Shane Company is a chain jewelry store with several huge showrooms in the Atlanta suburbs. You've no doubt heard their radio commercials. You'll find The Shane Company in Alpharetta, Duluth and Kennesaw.
I visited Shane Company when shopping for wedding bands - and I was a little wary to go to a large chain store like this one. However, my experience at the Kennesaw showroom as a very positive one. The sales reps were friendly and not overly pushy. The selection was more extensive than any other store I visited and there was a huge variety of prices and styles to choose from.
The Shane Company would suit most shoppers who are looking for an engagement ring, wedding band or other jewelry gift and want to browse for the perfect item.
If you are looking for a high-end, designer piece of jewelry, Solomon Brothers Fine Jewelry is the place to go. Their Buckhead showroom - securely tucked away in Tower Place in the heart of Buckhead - provides a luxury shopping experience.
They carry many well known designer jewelry lines including Tacori and a selection of high-end watches. Their prices aren't neccesarily expensive for what you are getting, so if a designer brand is important to you, Solomon Brothers could be a good choice. However, i did find that there isn't as much of a variety here as at a store like Shane Company, so you may have trouble finding a more affordable piece or feel limited by their high-end selection.
