Piedmont Park Pool
One of Atlanta's newest, most luxe public pools is the pool in the heart of Piedmont Park. The pool opens in May and is open weekdays from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and weekends from noon - 5 p.m. all summer long. The beautiful new aquatic center features lap lanes, fountains, concessions, and locker rooms with showers. Season passes are available and include special members-only hours.
Prices are quite reasonable. Children (5 and under) $1, Children (6-16) $2, Adults (17-54) $4, Seniors (55 & Over) $2.
Grant Park Pool
The Grant Park Pool is an intown favorite. In the afternoons, they even have free swim from 1:30 - 4 p.m.! It does often get crowded during the free swim period. Otherwise, daily admission is Children (5 and under) $1, Children (6-16) $2, Adults (17-54) $4, Seniors (50 & Over) $2. The pool is open late on weekends, with the summer nights lingering on until 8 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
Annual passes available.
Chastain Park Pool
A large pool managed by the Chastain Park Athletic Club, the Chastain Park Pool has both public swim and private membership options. On weekday mornings they have free swim time, and in the afternoons and on weekends you can pay to enjoy the facility. Evenings are reserved for members only.
Children (5 and under) $1, Children (6-16) $2, Adults $4, Seniors (65 & Over) $2.
Candler Park Pool
Nestled in the popular Candler Park, there's a public swimming pool! Run by the City of Atlanta, the pool is open daily. Prices are Children (5 and under) $1, Children (6-16) $2, Adults (17-54) $4, Seniors (50 & Over) $2.Decatur Pools
Decatur has a few public pools. Residents get a discounted rate of admission (must show resident pass). Glenlake Pool and McKoy Pool are open daily all summer long. Those looking for a pool out in Cobb County should check out Sewell Park Pool (located on Lower Roswell Road) or Powder Springs Pool (located on Brownsville Road). The pools do have fairly limited hours.
